Outside the Monastery, within the walled enclosure, there are wide avenues of trees (plane trees, elms, etc.) and the remains of the wide medieval wall (partially preserved) with polygonal towers at the ends.

The eastern end of the Monastery stands out, where the archaeological remains of a Roman military fortification from the 4th century are preserved (at the base of the chevet and the bell tower of the church).
